Appearing on CBS' Face The Nation, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) reiterated his opposition to any health care reform that has the government mandated "public option." He also went as far to say that doing nothing would be better than another government run insurance giveaway. Lieberman's statements are a blow to Senate liberals pushing this bill forward.
Today in the Towson Times councilman Vince Gardina (D-5) demanded a 20% salary increase during the worst recession since the Great Depression! This comes after we just found out that he will be receiving a "golden parachute" via a pension equal to 100% of his highest salary point. The councilman could receive up to $1 million dollars in retirement.

AFP-Worcester shows strength again, as over 150 members (many of whom were new recuits) continued the fight for freedom in Maryland. Even participants in a local bridge club who met in the same location, joined AFP-Maryland after learning of our message of free markets and limited government.
READ MOREBaltimore County Councilman Vincent Gardina (D-Dist. 5) has served 5 terms out of his Perry Hall-based district. As a part time legislator, he earns an annual salary of $54,000. When Gardina retires his seat in 2011, his pension will equal his yearly salary for the rest of his life.
