Grassroots free-market group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) was pleased to see the Somerset County Commission provide tax relief to the property owners of Somerset County on Tuesday. By a unanimous vote, the Commission decided to cut the proposed property tax rate.

Americans for Prosperity Applauds Harford County Council for Property Tax Cut


Decision could spark larger tax relief effort in Maryland


ANNAPOLIS- Grassroots free-market group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) was happy to see the Harford County Council provide tax relief to the property owners of Harford County on Friday evening. By a unanimous vote, the Council decided to cut the proposed property tax rate.

The biggest fight in Congress this summer will be how to address the healthcare crisis. The White House has talked about introducing a "public option" to remedy the situation. This is politician speak for single-payer, government run healthcare.

The National Motorists Association ranked Maryland one of the worst states to travel through based on their recent annual report.
You can read the full report here.


To Free State travelers, this comes as no surprise. Speed traps, speed cameras and kangaroo traffic courts are listed as critera that were used to generate the state by state rankings - all of which occur within the state of Maryland.
