We had another great morning on the "Cost of Hot Air" tour with a big crowd in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I joked with the folks that they sure look peaceful given the fact they're being called "mobs" by the national media.

Over 240 grassroots activists showed up last night in El Dorado, Arkansas to send a strong message to Senator Prior and Senator Lincoln to vote NO on the job killing, tax increasing Cap-and-Trade legislation. We gave them the phone number to each Senator's office so they could express their concern over the Cap-and-Trade bill that would put a deeper hole in their pockets during these tough economic times.

This morning we kicked off another leg of our anti Cap-and-Trade "Cost of Hot Air" tour in Monroe, Louisiana with 140 activists on a smoking hot and humid morning.

Our "Cost of Hot Air" tour uses a seven story high hot air balloon to dramatize the higher taxes and lost jobs that will result if Washington politicians pass this outrageous Cap-and-Trade legislation in the Senate.

Americans for Prosperity has always encouraged members to visit the district offices and attend town hall meetings of their senators and representatives, especially during this August break when issues like health care and cap-and-trade are at the peak of debate. Our 500,000+ members are concerned about the impact of the cap-and-trade energy tax and a government takeover of health care, and we have a variety of grassroots events going on around the country.

Friday night we brought our "Hands off my health care" bus tour to my hometown of Leesburg, Virginia. It was great to have my family in the crowd!
