Yesterday, the voters of the two largest counties in North Dakota sent a clear and loud message to local officials - "No New Taxes." Taxpayers in two major cities also declared that sales taxes they approved for previous projects should not be rolled over into new projects.

Voters Defeat Proposed Sales Tax Increases, Taxpayers Big Winners

BISMARCK- During the last five years, North Dakotans have faced alarming increases in property taxes. Americans for Prosperity - North Dakota is calling on local officials to explain why most property tax bills are on the rise while mill levies are either the same or lower than they were just five years ago.

BISMARCK- The lastest revenue numbers released by the North Dakota Office of Management and Budget illustrate with clarity the need for income tax reductions at the state level.

BISMARCK, N.D. - Recently, it was disclosed that a coalition led by the AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) will focus resources and manpower towards defeating Constitutional Measure 1 on this November's ballot. This measure would create a new, constitutionally protected, trust fund for excess oil tax revenues in addition to directing more funds to the general fund without legislative action.
