Americans for Prosperity-Oregon State Director Jeff Kropf today issued the following statement on the failure of the Congressional bail-out plan:

"The defeat today of the bail-out bill is the beginning, not the end, of the process.  Doing nothing is not an option.  AFP-Oregon encourages Congress and the President to look to free market solutions to protect our banking and home mortgage systems.  Americans are counting on our nationally elected leaders to set aside blame and partisanship, and to correct the problems caused by Congressional mandates to provide loans to those who could not afford them."
