WASHINGTON – Nancy Pfotenhauer, President and CEO of Americans for Prosperity and Americans for Prosperity Foundation, has announced that she has completed her tenure with the free-market grassroots groups.

In October 2003, Pfotenhauer agreed to serve a two year term as AFPF’s President and CEO, while simultaneously serving as CEO of the Independent Women’s Forum. In her time with AFPF, Pfotenhauer successfully led the group through a major transition, helped open four new state chapters around the country, positioned the group as the nation’s leader in the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights movement and launched a new 501(c)4 organization, Americans for Prosperity. She also helped increase the group’s number of grassroots activists by 150 percent and increased the organizations’ revenue by 50 percent.

“I’m honored to have been asked to lead AFP and AFPF through this transitional time. I have a great deal of confidence in the team I’ve helped put together and I will continue to support AFP and AFPF in every way imaginable,” Pfotenhauer said. “While I may no longer be coming into an office everyday, my life will continue to be full of exciting challenges – in the form of raising four lively teenagers.”

The Board of Directors is currently conducting a thorough search to locate the best candidate to lead AFP and AFPF into the future.
