On Thursday, May 24 Americans for Prosperity will bring busloads of activists to Raleigh to encourage NC House members to stop abusive forced annexations once and for all.

Today and tomorrow, the NC State Senate will keep its promise to defend the recent grassroots victory over forced municipal annexation.

Within the next 24 hours the State Senate will vote on a pair of annexation reforms that would stop forced annexations in several areas including: Goldsboro, Kinston, Fayetteville, Wilson, Wilmington, Rocky Mount and Lexington. (House Bill 5-Local De-Annexations).

A second bill would subject ALL forced annexations to a direct vote of the people. (House Bill 925-Annexation Reform 2).
