AFP Foundation Wraps Up Town Hall Series with John Stossel in Wausau, Wisconsin

Last night in Wausau, Wisconsin over 1,200 concerned citizens packed the Rothschild Pavilion to talk about problems with the proposed government take over of health care and address free market alternatives to fixing the system.

Our panelists of doctors, surgeons, and medical professionals explained how government health care would essentially eliminate the private health insurance industry. They spoke about how the public option would only increase the national debt by trillions and limit our health care choices.

"The famous public option will lead us to a single health care payer system," said Dr. Pam Galloway, the founder of the Breast Center of Central Wisconsin.

Our keynote speaker John Stossel of ABC's 20/20 spoke about the need for free market reforms that allow people to shop for the best price, not reform that forces us into a "one size fits all" government plan.

Every speaker agreed that government has no role in controlling health care.

We were fortunate to have such versed and respected health care professionals come out and share their knowledge with the citizens of Wisconsin.
