This week, the Virginia Chapter of Americans for Prosperity (AFP-VA) officially released a website, titled McDonnell Job Watch, for the purpose of tracking and posting all information, good or bad, related to Governor Bob McDonnell’s promise to bring new jobs to Virginia.

On Monday, Ben Marchi, Virginia state director of AFP, and Dick Morris, best-selling political author and analyst, toured Virginia's fifth Congressional district to educate citizen-activists on out-of-control, tax & spend policies taking place in Washington. These events were part of Americans for Prosperity's nationwide initiative, November is Coming.

When asked to comment on Greenpeace protesting a paper plant recently opened in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, AFP-VA state director Ben Marchi was quoted in a Washington Times article as saying:

 

"I don't think folks in the Shenandoah Valley who can't find a job to support their family really care what Greenpeace thinks," Marchi said. "This plant will provide a paycheck to hardworking Virginians, put food on the table, and provide fiscal prosperity to the community and hundreds of families in the area. The only thing the plant hopefully won't do is bow to Greenpeace's lackluster efforts to shutter any and every plant in the nation."
